LIMO measures the spectrum of light to which the eye is exposed. It measures the activity during the day and the quality of sleep during the night.
LIMO is made of a measurement module and a battery/memory module. There are 2 battery/memory modules. A docking station charges the one not in use.
The docking station transfers the measurements to a secured datacenter. They can be visualized and checked to monitor the progress of the study.

We create a team gathering subjects and experts from the fields of chronobiology, light metrology, opto-electronics and microelectronics. The list of specifications takes into account the experience of both subjects and expert investigators using a variety of systems available on the market.

We carefully test and select light measuring chips from different manufacturers. We create a proof of concept gathering all the sensors required for the LIMO using hardware and software in their simplest configuration.

Thanks to collaboration with sourcing, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing partners, the proof of concept becomes a prototype at scale and fully compliant with requirements.

20 prototypes will be used in a clinical study to investigate how light exposure relates to sleep patterns and health in different populations. This will constitute a test bed for the operational use of the LIMO and the development of its cloud-based analysis environment.
